One of the leading healthcare facilities joins hands for Dubai Cares’ Walk for Education
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 19 February 2019, (AETOSWire) : Medical representatives and members of the management and staff from Fakih IVF Fertility Center walked in solidarity with millions of children, in support of education in developing countries. The 3-km walk was organised by Dubai Cares, which brought to focus the challenges faced by children all over the world in acquiring quality education.
“Fakih IVF has always been committed to advancing the healthcare landscape in the UAE, and we consider it equally important to contribute to worthwhile initiatives that translate the vision of our wise leadership into action. Our participation at the walkathon is an effort to drive Dubai closer to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as well as support the creation of an inclusive society, which not only offers quality education, but fosters equal learning for opportunities for all,” said Dr Michael Fakih, Medical Director of Fakih IVF Fertility Center.
It has been noted that education remains an isolated right for several children around the world, the key factors being inequality and marginalization. Studies indicate that more than 260 million children around the world are out of school, and others who have access to education walk miles to reach their destination. The Dubai Cares’ Walk for Education is an effort to shed light on the magnitude of this problem, as well as tackle the global learning crisis through strategic deliverables.
