Dubai, United Arab of Emiratis — From the most natural and neutral tones to the most energizing and sophisticated shades, color remains a top priority in giving the home originality and completely transforming spaces.
While most paces - living or working - are largely driven by functionality, their design and layout are ultimately brought to life using color. As the cherry on top, interior designers are constantly experimenting with various colors that depict specific themes and individual customer preferences.
In collaboration with Tile of Spain, Habitat Trends Observatory and The Institute of Ceramic Technology reveal this year’s top four color palette trends for ceramic interiors.
Natural shades [Expressions of Nature Trend]
Natural shades are all about where the ceramic floor and wall tile surfaces bring us closer to nature, the prominent colors are those that evoke botanical shades, with muted tones, baked pigmentation, and natural patinas that seek to convey a handmade effect of the surfaces. This is a less-saturated palette full of clay, green, and moss tones that evoke a botanical aspect in your interiors.
Neutral palette [Embracing Emotions Trend]
Embracing Emotions proposes soft tones that evolve towards sensory and energizing colors. This palette offers a balanced mix of pigmented pastels and neutrals with brighter and sometimes digital finishes. In this trend, greens and blues become key colors for their nourishing and calming effects, which invite us to find balance and well-being.
Energizing hues (Exuberant Balance)
Energizing hues are all about, the use of color making the interiors vibrate with energy, and at the same time, they can divide spaces or highlight some architectural feature. Pink colors, purple highlights, synthetic sunsets, or digital color ranges are unequivocally used to obtain designs with strong contrasts that lead us to mesmerizing scenarios. Likewise, vintage tones such as pink, brown, and green add softness.
Futuristics colors [Tendencia Enigmatic Luxury]
Futuristic colors are all about synonymity with luxury, dark colors, marbled finishes, liquid, metallic and shiny finishes predominate, seeking to achieve an effect of sophistication and a futuristic aesthetic. Ocean blue becomes a key tone, which in addition to adopting aesthetics inspired by fantasy, is very appropriate to convey serenity and balance to spaces.
