Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The growth of the hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia has resulted in rising demand for Ariston Middle East solutions. New hospitality projects including lavish hotels, restaurants, housing estates and other entities have led to an uptake of water heating solutions harnessing technology. As focus on minimizing power cost has become a priority, technology solutions from the Group’s investment in research over the years to improve energy efficiency has yielded returns.

The growing number of hotels has made Saudi Arabia a land of opportunities with $9 billion worth of projects planned to be awarded over the next four years. This includes a minimum of 21,500 rooms, across 36 individual hotels, resorts, and master-planned tourist destinations*.
“These numbers certainly pave the way for a high demand for hot water. Guest rooms, swimming pools and restaurants require large quantities depending on capacity, so the cost of water heating is a major consideration. This is a global fact.” Says Alberto Torner, Head of Ariston Group in the Middle East, Turkey and Caucasus.

In Saudi Arabia, Ariston Middle East’ ongoing hotel projects cover more than a dozen exciting locations across Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah , Dammam, Majmmah and Al-Hasa.

“One of our big projects was Aqua Raffles Hotel, Jeddah including Raffles Residences, Jeddah - a place beyond imagination. Located in the enchanting coastline of Jeddah, a new way of luxury living has been introduced. Stretched across 48 floors, reshaping Jeddah’s iconic skyline while providing residents with breath-taking views, captivating interiors and movable mashrabiya screens, the project has 181 guestrooms and 188 branded residences.” Torner added.

Projects of this stature are the norm now. Despite the dynamic yet challenging market conditions, Saudi Arabia remains one of the most competitive markets for the hospitality industry in the world.
The hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia is a combination of international brands, chain hotels and several domestically grown brands. Many well-established international brands entered strategic partnership programs with the leading hospitality companies that have Middle East origination and are operating through their brand name under the management contracts of reputed organizations. The market holds great growth opportunities and is welcoming many new investors into the industry. **

2022 is the year the Ariston Group has committed to ‘renewing our ambitions for sustainability and long-term value creation’ and this commitment is reflected in the uptake of projects from the hospitality industry that values energy-saving technology solutions.

“It is very much understood that sustainable and efficient products, solutions and processes can effectively contribute to minimizing energy consumption and help make an environmental impact without sacrificing comfort” Alberto Torner commented. “This sort of awareness, concerns and requirements were not as prevalent when we commenced Ariston Middle East operations in the region 40 years back. Today these are all acknowledged as well as understood and we are proud to be as relevant to our customers here today as we were four decades ago”
