A 590% increase was seen in student results for core subjects of English, Math and Science during the Measure of Academic Progress (MAPs) testing last year, due to the significant changes implemented within the school. And this summer, the improvements have continued, with a new Principal appointment and a full school refurbishment taking place.
As the school continues on its journey of improvement, experience of international standards is essential and Virginia Welphas just that. With over 25 years experience as an educator, Virginia brings both New York State Standards and UAE experience to Ajman Modern School;which will no doubt further improve the academic results for the upcoming year,enhance the student experience and aid the delivery of the school vision “To be a School that truly serves the community.”
The Board of Governors are fully supportive of the changes within the school and have been instrumental in driving improvements to align to the New York State Standards.

On top of the new appointment, school refurbishments and rebranding are now complete, so students, parents and teachers can expect to see a much brighter, more welcoming Ajman Modern School this September.
