United Arab Emirates, August 28, 2018—(AETOSWire)-- The participation of Kazakhstan enterprises in the exhibition EXPO-2020 in Dubai was discussed during the trade and economic mission of Kazakhstan to the UAE.
The mission was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic Kazakhstan “Atameken” and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. Madiyar Menilbekov, the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, led the Kazakhstan delegation, which included 12 large commodity producers in the field of engineering, construction, light and food industries.
Trade and economic cooperation between the Republic Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates is developing from year to year. Nowadays, the entrepreneurial community strengthens already existing ties even more and establishes new business partners in new industries.
According to official data, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the UAE in 2017 was 643.06 million dollars (exports - 558.7 million, imports - 84.3 million). In contrast with last years, trade turnover between both countries increased nearly two times. Therefore, Kazakhstan has great potential to export ecologically clean agricultural products to the UAE. First, there are meat products and grain legumes (lentils, chickpeas, mung beans, and peas), as well as products like wheat, flour, vegetable oil and honey.
Over 40 oil and gas enterprises, construction companies, leasing and private transport companies, and a number of retail chains took part in trade mission in the UAE. The emirate business was interested in importing meat, honey, metal structures, equipment for oil and gas preparation, and other goods manufactured in Kazakhstan.
